Hyaluronic Cream
A cream for intensive skin hydration based on hyaluronic acid and squalane.
Biological rationale
The hydration level of the stratum corneum is determined by the balance of two types of moisturising components: humectants, which attract water, and emollients / occlusives, which help retain it in the skin and reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL). The normal water content of the stratum corneum is 20-35%; when this level drops below 10%, the skin is visually and tactilely perceived as dry. With age, the natural content of ceramides and other lipids in the stratum corneum gradually decreases, weakening the barrier function and increasing TEWL regardless of skin type. Skin dehydration, including in oily skin, may trigger compensatory sebum hypersecretion, making the choice of moisturiser an important factor even for breakout-prone skin.
Mechanism of action
Humectant level. Sodium Hyaluronate attracts and retains water in the stratum corneum, increasing the skin’s water content.
Emollient / occlusive level. Plant-derived Squalane biomimetically mimics the structure of sebum, replenishing the lipid composition of the skin surface without a comedogenic effect. Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil and Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil additionally reduce transepidermal water loss and provide emollient action.
Clinical profile
Indications: skin dehydration, including oily and combination skin, dryness and flaking, dull and tired-looking skin, and fine lines associated with insufficient hydration. Suitable for all skin types, non-comedogenic.
Visible result
With regular use, the skin becomes more nourished, soft, and elastic thanks to multi-level hydration. The appearance of fine lines associated with dehydration is visibly reduced, and the skin looks smoother and plumper, without a greasy film.
