Vitamin C Complex
A serum with three stabilised forms of vitamin C for antioxidant protection, evening the skin tone, and supporting collagen synthesis.
Biological rationale
Free radicals formed under the influence of UV radiation and other exogenous factors damage cellular lipids, proteins, and DNA, trigger a cascade reaction of oxidative stress, and accelerate skin photoageing. Ascorbic acid is a cofactor for prolyl and lysyl hydroxylases, which are necessary for collagen synthesis, and at the same time an effective acceptor of reactive oxygen species. Pure L-ascorbic acid is unstable and rapidly oxidises on contact with air and light, losing activity even before the product is used.
Mechanism of action
Antioxidant level. Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Ascorbyl Glucoside, and Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate are stabilised vitamin C derivatives that convert in the skin into active ascorbic acid. This form helps preserve antioxidant activity throughout the product’s shelf life, unlike unstable L-ascorbic acid.
Pigment level. The same derivatives inhibit tyrosinase activity, reducing melanin synthesis and the appearance of uneven pigmentation.
Barrier level. Sodium Hyaluronate provides an environment for enhanced penetration of active ingredients and additional hydration of the stratum corneum.
Evidence base
The role of ascorbic acid as a cofactor in collagen synthesis and as an antioxidant is confirmed in dermatological literature. The use of stabilised derivatives, including ascorbate phosphates and glucosides, provides better preservation of activity in the formula compared with unstable L-ascorbic acid.
Clinical profile
Indications: signs of photoageing, uneven pigmentation, dull skin tone, dehydration, sensitive and reactive skin, including skin prone to redness. Suitable for all skin types.
Visible result
With regular use, the skin becomes more hydrated and radiant, while the tone appears more even due to reduced melanogenesis activity. The appearance of redness and reactivity is reduced, and stable antioxidant protection is provided throughout the day.
