Description
GF5 Next Generation
A bioregenerative growth factor serum for correcting structural signs of skin ageing, including reduced elasticity and density, impaired barrier function, and slowed tissue regeneration.
Biological rationale for growth factor therapy
Growth factors are a key mechanism involved in the repair and replacement of damaged skin cells. Their natural production begins to decline significantly already by late adolescence, and by the age of 30 it becomes minimal. As a result, damaged cells regenerate more slowly, which affects the skin’s architecture – density decreases, collagen synthesis is disrupted, and microcirculation becomes less efficient. GF5 Next Generation helps compensate for this deficiency through a combination of five growth factors that act on different stages of the regenerative process simultaneously – the isolated use of a single growth factor does not provide the same effect.
Mechanism of action
Regenerative level. sh-Oligopeptide-1 (EGF) and sh-Oligopeptide-2 (IGF-1) stimulate keratinocyte proliferation and accelerate epithelialisation. sh-Polypeptide-1 (bFGF) and sh-Polypeptide-11 (aFGF) activate fibroblasts and collagen synthesis. sh-Polypeptide-9 (VEGF) stimulates angiogenesis, improving the trophic support of collagen-producing tissues – this is especially relevant when working with scars, burns, and stretch marks.
Structural and anti-inflammatory level. Copper Tripeptide-1 stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis and provides antioxidant action. Palmitoyl Tripeptide-8 helps reduce reactivity and erythema caused by mechanical, UV, or immune-related stress. Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and Acetyl Hexapeptide-30 inhibit neuromuscular transmission, helping to reduce the formation of expression lines.
Barrier level. 5 Ceramide Complex, Cholesterol, Lecithin, Hydrogenated Lecithin, and Sodium Hyaluronate help restore the lipid composition of the stratum corneum and reduce TEWL – critical for skin after procedural trauma or with a chronically impaired barrier.
Evidence base
In a 4-week manufacturer study (CellDerma Growth Factor Complex, n=12, women aged 43-50), an increase in skin elasticity of up to 47% and a reduction in the appearance of wrinkles in the periorbital area of up to 46% were recorded.
Clinical profile
Indications: wound healing and post-procedure recovery, reduced skin firmness, uneven texture, erythema and reactivity, fine lines and wrinkles, premature ageing, crepey texture, scars, stretch marks, and post-acne changes. Suitable for all skin types; do not apply to open wound surfaces.
Safety profile
Vegan formula, free from parabens, sulphates, phthalates, artificial colours, and fragrances. Dermatologically tested, suitable for sensitive and reactive skin.
