A gentle cleansing gel for deep skin cleansing without disrupting the barrier function or pH balance.
Biological rationale
Cleansing surfactants remove sebum, makeup, and surface impurities by disrupting the lipid structure of the stratum corneum. Harsh anionic surfactants, such as classic sulfates, do this excessively effectively, damaging the lipid barrier, increasing transepidermal water loss, and triggering compensatory sebum hypersecretion – especially in oily and breakout-prone skin. To preserve the barrier function while maintaining cleansing efficacy, a combination of mild surfactants with components that replenish the skin’s lipid composition is required.
Mechanism of action
Cleansing level. Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, a biodegradable anionic surfactant with strong cleansing and foaming action, combined with Cocamidopropyl Betaine, an amphoteric surfactant, reduces the irritation potential of the formula while providing effective cleansing without aggressive impact on the barrier.
Barrier-restoring level. Chondrus Crispus Extract and Rosa Moschata Seed Oil supply essential fatty acids that support the lipid composition of the stratum corneum, as well as antioxidants, including lutein, zeaxanthin, and vitamins C and A.
Sebum-regulating level. Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil helps balance sebum secretion, which is especially relevant when oily and dry skin are present in different areas of the face.
Clinical profile
Indications: oily, breakout-prone, and combination skin, post-acne skin, and the need for gentle removal of makeup and surface impurities without disrupting the pH balance. Suitable for all skin types, including dry and sensitive skin.
Visible result
After cleansing, the skin feels clean but not tight, and the optimal pH level is restored. With regular use, the appearance of irritation and skin reactivity is reduced, and the frequency of breakouts decreases in oily skin prone to clogged pores.
