PHA Renewal Scrub
A scrub with a dual exfoliation mechanism – mechanical and chemical – for renewing skin texture and removing excess keratinised cells.
Biological rationale
The stratum corneum renews itself through the constant desquamation of corneocytes. When this process slows down, excess keratinised cells accumulate on the surface, leading to uneven texture, dullness, and clogged pores. The combination of mechanical and chemical exfoliation allows the formula to act on both stages of this process – removing surface impurities and accelerating the natural renewal of the epidermis – with a lower irritation potential than the isolated use of strong acids.
Mechanism of action
Mechanical level. Fragaria Vesca (Strawberry) Seed and Oryza Sativa (Rice) Powder provide gentle physical exfoliation of keratinised cells without pronounced microtrauma to the skin surface.
Chemical level. Gluconolactone (PHA) is a polyhydroxy acid with a larger molecular structure compared with AHA acids, which allows slower penetration into the skin and therefore a lower irritation potential while maintaining exfoliating and antioxidant action.
Antioxidant level. Terminalia Ferdinandiana (Kakadu Plum) Extract is a source of vitamin C with antimicrobial action due to gallic and ellagic acids, making it relevant for skin prone to breakouts. Panax Ginseng Root Extractcomplements antioxidant protection.
Cleansing level. Coco-Glucoside and Sodium Cocoyl Apple Amino Acids replace sulfate surfactants with a gentle amino acid-based cleansing system.
Clinical profile
Indications: uneven skin texture, excessive keratinisation of the surface layer, enlarged pores, oily and breakout-prone skin, and dull skin tone. Suitable for all skin types.
Visible result
With regular use 2-4 times per week, the skin texture becomes smoother and more even, the tone appears more uniform and radiant, and pores look visually less pronounced. The skin remains hydrated, without a feeling of dryness after the procedure.
Safety profile
Free from parabens, sulfates, and phthalates. Contains a trace amount of fragrance and cosmetic pigments to give the product texture its colour. Vegan formula, dermatologically tested.
